Advocacy is not only lobbying
You are already doing it
Our environment and the laws that protect it are facing challenges not seen in almost 50 years. We all care deeply for our natural
environment. Now more than ever we need to have your voice heard. It is time to examine our approaches for advocating for the environment, whether it be a gentle reminder to students, an issue focused program for the public or a concerted effort to influence
policy or create protective legislation in our communities.
See what environmental advocacy can look like in your organization. Learn:
• Clear examples how to sharpen your advocacy tools
• What you can do if you are a government-related entity or a nonprofit
• How we can make a difference in day-to-day programming without adding additional resource expenditures
• Your legal allowances and limitations
